The Blackburn Fifty Plus Group is a loosely organized group working to promote activities for Blackburn Hamlet citizens 50+ years of age.
Next Meeting of the Working Group (everyone welcome) – We meet on the Third Wednesday of each month - 2:00 p.m. at the Community Centre.
We encourage anyone who might be interested to join us. Pot Luck dinners are held from time to time at the Community Hall. All Blackburn Fifty Plus citizens are welcome. For details of the next planned potluck please contact Julie Kisch at 613-824-3778.
Watch for Blackburn Community Association membership sales by the 50+ group at the Fun Fair and support your community while getting discounts on community sponsored programs.
A GROUP EXCURSION is planned for some time in late June or early July to Lavender Ridge in Luskville, Quebec. This is meant to be an interesting and educational tour that will be followed by a wine tasting and lunch. Natural products made from lavender will also be available for purchase. As usual, carpooling will be from the Community Hall. Please call Julie Kisch for a date and details at 613-824-3778 if you would like to join us.
Pub Night - The Blackburn Hamlet Fifty Plus Group meets the Fourth Sunday of every month (except December). The new venue is the Royal Oak Pub at 2067 Meadowbrook Road (just off Blair). RSVP PLEASE to Julie Kisch at 613- 824-3778 if you wish to attend or require further information.
